Tuval Haim is a musician, songwriter, composer, and drummer. He is a member of the band “Pulkes” and has played in numerous prominent productions across the Israeli soundtrack of the past decade, including with Ivri Lider, Netta Barzilai, and Quarter to Africa. On the morning of October 7, 2023, his life changed forever when his brother — Yotam Haim — was kidnapped from their home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. After 70 days in captivity, Yotam managed to escape along with two other hostages, but the three were tragically killed by IDF fire moments before reaching freedom.
Yotam was not only Tuval’s brother — he was his closest musical partner. They grew up together in a world of sound and rhythm, with music as the foundation of their bond: hours of conversations about beats, playing together, traveling to shows, and dreaming of a shared future on stage and in creation.
Tuval turned to music as a way to process everything he was feeling — his love for Yotam, the rage at what had happened, the frustration and the longing. He took inspiration from Yotam to be fearless, and for the first time in his life, began to sing, write, and compose.
The album “Ahim” (“Brothers”) was born from this deep connection — a musical tapestry that reflects the styles both brothers loved, blending intimate, emotional moments with powerful, energetic rhythms — from groove and rock’n’roll to hip-hop and metal, and everything in between. Yotam’s spirit lives in every song — in the lyrics, in the melodies, and physically, through his voice and drum recordings.
The album features beloved Israeli artists who add depth and meaning to the work: Berry Sakharof, Shai Tsabari, Ester Rada, Echo, and Bano Hendler — who also served as the album’s producer.
The single “Knafey Ruach” (“Wings of Spirit”) received wide acclaim, was added to the Galgalatz playlist, played across all major radio and TV stations in Israel, and became a national symbol of strength and hope.
The live show “Ahim” features the musicians who played on the album, Tuval’s creative partners, and additional guest artists. Throughout the performance, Yotam is present — in spirit, in voice, and in unforgettable drum recordings — as a vital part of the entire experience.
